Profiting from social networking
Recently Facebook opened doors to external developers, also members on its network, thus brilliantly tapping talent without traditional advertising methods. Facebook proves that there is no shortcut to success. Today’s uber-competitive world challenges businesses to have unconventional models, brand
equities match the demographic, and cultures that they want to tap.
TELiBRAHMA has a similar initiative on social networking. Aptly called GenieTalk, this application reaches out to a mobile consumer community in a public environment such as a coffee shop. Not only can users interact with each other, but they can also avail themselves or gift their friends, promotional offers and discount coupons, that can be exchanged across demographies. Picture this: Bob goes shopping at a retail mall. He activates Bluetooth after reading a notice on TELiBRAHMA's Loyalty Management Program. Installing a back-end application from TELiBRAHMA, Bob registers for the program. That is all he has to do to know about the discounts on offer at the store. He can receive promotional alerts on his phone while passing through respective sections. What's more, at the billing counter, he gets to know about his earned redeemable loyalty points. Even when he is away from the store, he yet can receive promotional offers of Loyalty Management Program. If you still need a clearer picture, see the demo.
